Villa del Palmar Brand and how it all began

The Villa del Palmar began in the late 1980’s in Puerto Vallarta where the very first Villa del Palmar resort was developed by The Villa Group not long after the opening of the successful Villa del Mar resort. Soon after the companies turned their sights and midas touch to Cabo San Lucas where the Villa del Palmar, Villa la estancia, and Villa del Arco Cabo resorts were opened to great excitement. The brand was already gathering steam and building a reputation for excellence when Nuevo Vallarta became a hotspot for development.

The Villa del Palmar Flamingos resort was developed in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, soon after the Villa Group found success in Cabo, and it was named for the area in which it was located, close to the Flamingos golf course. This resort is now, understandably, big with golf lovers, but the beaches here make it good for anyone. Not far behind was the Villa La Estancia resort in the area, which came to offer real estate options as well as hotel services.

Arguably, however, the Villa del Palmar brand made it big when the resort in Cancun was opened. The Islands of Loreto resort was opened around the same time and both resorts represent the ultimate expression of the luxury and style which the Villa del Palmar brand embodies.
