Puerto Vallarta’s 80% Hotel Occupancy Predictions

Businesses, hotels and tour companies in Puerto Vallarta were pleased by statistics released by Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism this summer with predictions of an 80% occupancy rate in hotels and resorts during the 2013 summer high season. The statistics discussed in an article published by Hotel News Resource show a favorable rise in the number of tourists visiting Puerto Vallarta and estimates the revenue expected from their presence. The article suggested that as much as $78 million US dollars would enter the economy by the end of the season.

There could be a number of reasons for this pleasing increment, and Hotel News Resource places part of Puerto Vallarta’s success this year as thanks to a worldwide campaign to promote Puerto Vallarta, which has focused on its beaches, friendly atmosphere and great restaurants amongst other attractions. Indeed, Puerto Vallarta has so much to offer visitors, with a range of adventure tour operators, glorious beaches, great nightlife, art galleries and cultural events to keep visitors returning year after year.

Another plausible reason for increased numbers to the destination is thanks to improved flight routes with Delta offering 9 daily flights from LA and a number of new routes. Hotel News Resource also mentions that next year will see flights from Manchester and London Gatwick from the UK.
